im at college in north dakota right now. the grille(s) are in nebraska where i live. my avatar is the best example of one of these grilles that i can get. there is a guy that has like 8 dentsides that he has retired to a field, and i can get parts for uber cheap.

i remember seeing a thread about this, try a search. i dont really like the look, but it might work depending on the color.

I'm fixing mine and painting it, as well as all other chrome, with silver metal flake rim paint. I used JB weld as a filler. It's tough, but it was hard to work, it sags terribly.

Dennis Carpenter has them listed at 550 right now but to call to check. I need to ride up to there, I'm only about 15-20mins away. Is there no fixing yours or do you not want to mess with it.

I put a DC grill on my truck a while back. It fit great and is well worth the hours saved from looking through junk yards for a used one in good shape. I can send pics if your interested in seeing a DC grill installed.

Post it up here. There's probably more than 1 person wanting to see the fit and finish. Including me.

Thanks!

I called Dennis Carpenter (704-786-8139) this morning at 8:55 AM PST.

There are no 1973/77 (D6TZ8200A) grilles available.

There aren't any of the 1978/79 (D8TZ8200A) grilles available either.

In fact, all of the anodized grilles Carpenter makes...are on back order.

The fellow that answered the phone said they have no idea when any of these grilles will be available.

anyone have experience with an LMC grill? Their recent catalog says they now have them in aluminum. Just wondering if they fit decent or are a cheap piece of crap?

Well that sucks about the DC grills being unavailable. I guess these pics are just a tease then. If they ever do become available, this is what they look like- http://s671.photobucket.com/albums/vv75/JMTOP/
Let me know if that doesn't work.
