How to dissemble/reassemble a modular connector.
Does anyone know how to disassemble this connector. It is the connector that goes into the optional trailer camera for late mode Superduty’s. I am going to install this camera on my 5th wheel and it will pass thru a junction box and cable gland on the roof of my 5th wheel trailer.
To get a cable gland with a large enough opening to allow the connector to pass thru will result in the gland being too large to properly seal around the cable. I was hoping if I can take off the plastic connector housing the remaining cable assembly with the pins will be much thinner. My only other thought was to wrap a wad of electrical tape around the wire at the point it will pass thru the cable gland to increase the diameter of the cable at that point to make a good water-resistant seal inside the cable gland.

I've had considerable "luck" disassembling and re-pinning OEM connectors but cannot see any detail on this one so can't be too helpful. If the attached cable is just a two conductor without shielding it could be cut along its length, fitted through the cable gland and spliced back together somewhere along its run.
OR maybe looking into one of these handy devices: Cable Clam Blue Sea does have dimensioned drawings available for these devices.
Hope this helps!
