5th Wheel satelite/cable outlet

My trailer has 2 connections one for park cable and the other for satellite. If if plug my direct tv into satellite I only have one tv in the kitchen\living room that will work. I have 2 room with the same connections that will not pick up a signal. I haven't tried park cable. I even tested by moving the direct tv to the cable outlet and tested the other outlets but it didn't work. I called the dealer who said this is correct. Doesn't really make any sense to me.

Chance, if I read this right, it's a cable problem. I went through the same thing a while back. Apparently regular cable and and dish use different types of cable. I ran the extra cable to solve the problem. There is a thread on this towing section now about a little transmitter that you can send the signal from one place to another with. Here in Colorado, they have them at Radio Shack.Hope this helps...

I do not know how your trailer is set up but mine has both cable and satellite connections also. I could not get help where I bought it since it was used. When I traced out the cable it runs into the back of the amp for the TV ant. so if you are hooked up to cable and turn off the amp it will feed the outlets. The satellite cable was in the back of the entertainment center with no connector on it. While cleaning the roof I found the rubber roof had a spot labeled on it for the satellite. A roof mounted sattellite would not do me much good since I park in the trees at most campsites I go too. I installed a connector at the back side of the entertainment center to connect the satellite and it works good. If you want to move the receiver around you could install two thru the wall connectors and connect to the one that you are using.
