What "coolant cocktail"?
What "coolant cocktail" is being used after installing the Dieselsite Filter? Everyone talks about how easy it is to install, but isn't the coolant used important too. Sorry if it sounds like the "EGR" valve between my ears is plugged.

Never used it...I believe in not fixing what isn't broke...both Ford's and Valvoline's products meet the OEM spec for our cavitation sensitive engine. Its as simple as that...I beleive the Zerex G-05 is cheaper though.

Simple cocktail....
50% Distilled water
50% Ford Premium Gold Coolant
(Or brand that meets 100% of the Ford spec)
Do a flush with 100% distilled water (5 or 6 times).
Drain 1 last time (distilled water)
Refill system with 3.5 gallons of Ford Premium Gold Coolant.
Top off with distilled water of needed
(You now have a perfect coolaing system cocktail)
50% Distilled water
50% Ford Premium Gold Coolant
(Or brand that meets 100% of the Ford spec)
Do a flush with 100% distilled water (5 or 6 times).
Drain 1 last time (distilled water)
Refill system with 3.5 gallons of Ford Premium Gold Coolant.
Top off with distilled water of needed
(You now have a perfect coolaing system cocktail)
