i looked for a fuse for it in the books, but didn't find one. Everything else works fine and as intended. I have no dispaly, nor do the buttons function, on my climate control. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, being it's 35F out in the mornings these days...
The elctronic climate control seems to like to go out. There's been a few threads on this issue. Some have had luck with fuse issues, others needed a whole new unit. These are NOT cheap from ford $6-$800 if my memory is correct. I'd start hitting up junkyards if its not a fuse and you need a whole new unit.
My '05 X did the same thing. It was an intermittent problem. Finally went for good. Luckily it was still under warranty as the whole unit had to be replaced.

Go out to your Ex, start the engine and then turn on your headlight manually and then turn them off and it should magically appear! Works for me the last 2 times that it happened to me. Why it fixes it who knows! Good luck I hope it works for you too!! Let me know!

Thats happened to me a few times also. I ended up turning the truck off and restarting it, and it would work, but i read someone posted here about the lheadlight switch, and I have done it a few times and it has worked. I think it has something do with the headlamps and a voltage spike with the AC or Heater being left on on startup. Probably a simple diode would fix it. But the turning on and off of the headlight switch is so much easier and quicker.
Yup, that's exactly what fixed my problem. I can't imagine the two systems even being connected. Maybe it's the dimmer function for the lights, but I would think that would be across the board, radio, instrument cluster, and all. Maybe it's the initiation power for the system that has to be reset, because it wasn't just hte display that was out, it wasn't functioning. No buttons responded, etc. Beh, it's done, I have heat on my 35F mornings.

Glad that worked for ya, it is crazy that it works?
