I seem to have lost my bright lights on my 97. I have now checked every fuse both under the dash and the hood, and replaced the bulbs but only the low lights come on. I have not got my meter out to check for voltage due to rain but that will be the next step, does the bright selector wear out? any other ideas?
I was able to clear a spot in the garage and will be taking my meter out tomorrow. I plan on checkin for voltage at the lights first, is there and easy way to check the dimmer switch?
this one is still stumping me. I replaced both bulbs just in the strange possibility that they both burned out. I then pulled the headlight switch out and checked it and it has +12v on it when the switch is on. I followed that wire to the high/low beam/turn signal switch and found that I have +12v on one wire for low beams, and +12v on another wire for the high beams. Is there a relay somewhere that is not listed?
I am replacing a multifunction switch very soon. I found 1 at advanced auto for $60. Thats where I would start. I will write up how I changed mine when I am done. Good luck!

Next in line is the high beam fuse. Got voltage there?
I have not found a high beam fuse, instead I have phisically checked every fuse in the box. I will look again.
the lower lights stay on, but the brights do not. I didn't check to see if it was putting voltage out for that as it was hard to hold the meter and the switches at the same time.
figured it out this morning...... I had pulled and checked ever fuse in the box and they all tested ok. I went and looked in the manual this morning and spotted a couple that I wanted to double check. #33 I was suprised to find was missing and wondered if it was one of the options that my truck didn't have. I had an extra 15A fuse so I popped it in and was suprised to see that the lights now worked. I let my brother/father drive my truck back from AZ to indiana a week ago when I was moving and they had all kinds of issues..... They managed to turn my alarm on while they were driving it, find or make another fuse loose and somehow lost this one......... Dunno......
this morning I was treated to my mother backing her prius into my mustang. Not sure what she was doing as if the car was not there she would have ended up in the lawn but she put a pretty good scrape on the pass door and almost tore the mirror off.
