bright lights

I cant get my brights to come on in my 78 f100. I replaced the dimmer switch and checked fuses. My normal lights work, but when I hit the dimmer switch to turn on the brights the headlights go out completely. Any suggestions? - Nate

Possibly the high beams in the headlights are burned out?

Thats possible, i didnt think of that. do they normaly go out at the same time? I guess there would be no way to check either.- Nate

Pull the bulb out and use a mulitmetter or a test light to see if your getting power to the light.

No not really, but I have seen it happen once before so I figured I would just throw it out there for you to check, ya never know.
