Hey guys. I have a 99 F-250 powerstroke and my bright lights dont work. when i pull the stick back nothing happens but if i push it forward my headlights go out. My bright light indicator still works on the gauge cluster though. i cant figure it out. i would appreciate all the help i can get. thanks. Alex
Sounds like both high beams are burned out. I had both low beams go out once within half hour of each other and had to drive home with the brights. HTHs Lee
Are your instrument cluster also not working ? If so, your #16 fuse (15A) is bad.. Check under your dash in the fuse box, 5th one down from the top, 2nd row from the right. This fuse is your high beams..
I checked the schematic that I have and it shows that the high beam indictor in the dash is connected after the #16 fuse. If the indicator is working, more than likely both high beams are out. Lee
If you have lost one light, you may want to consider replacing left and right. The lumens (brightness) fades over time and it's probably just a short while before the other lamp goes dark. There are some great ones out there, Silverstar 9007 is a good lamp, although you most likely won't get a year out of the brighter lamps, carry 2 spares and change both when one fails. Look into the Bright Box mod too.
