well i got an intercooler from a 6.0 and the tubes and i just wanted to ask u guys that have done this for some pics on the installation process. i won't be doing it right away since i still need the spyder intake but wanted to ask in advance to i can have a basic idea on where to begin. i should be getting a transcooler off a 6.0 to so i will probable do it all at once.
There's no reason not to start by mounting the IC. You have to tear the front end apart, cut holes, make mounting brackets, etc. You need the IC mounted anyway in order to fab the pipes. Mine took me a few weeks to finish, I just covered the IC ports with duct tape until I was ready to install the pipes. Lots of pics and links on IC installs here if you do some searching.

Strokin, did you have to modify your hood latch or did you mount the intercooler lower? Other installs I have read talk about needing to bend the latch, handle I think.
i did have to mod the hood latch... BARELY!!! it just barely hit with where i put the IC, but i wish i woulda pushed the IC up a little bit more and pushed the IC a little more toward the radiator b/c its a little rough trying to tighten the IC clamps at the cooler.
so, put your IC as close as you can to the radiator and everything. try to get the ends to go as far in the engine compartment as you can so you can tighten those clamps
