6.0 intercooler on my 95

I am about to install a 2004 6.0 intercooler on my 95 7.3 and i want the intercooler to be as high up as it can but i have a transmission cooler on the top pass. side of the radiator. Should I move the cooler or just install the intercooler below it???? All the pics ive seen, it doesnt look like people have the transmission cooler. Not sure what to do

I have my trans cooler installed in front of my IC. If you still have the stock trans cooler you need a bigger one. Either way relocate the trans cooler to put the IC where you want it. Then remount the Trans cooler

its on the list........ i tow alot and have never had an issue, i treat the truck with respect while i abuse it........ if that makes any sense.

either way i have no issues and i think the shift kit helps save my clutches a great deal.

well issue has been solved. I installed the intercooler and ended up keeping the stock trans cooler for now. I dont see how you all had the room in between the AC condenser and the support beam as well as the hood latch to fit an intercooler. Well I ended up cutting out the support beam and mounted the IC just below the hood release. I had to do just a little bit of cutting from the radiator support but nothing major. Now the intercooler's bottom supports are resting on the frame wich doesnt seam to bad. But that is how low it sits. When you look at it it hangs maybe 1/2 inch below the bumber as well. I ended up mounting the trans cooler directly underneath the ac condensor between the radiator and the IC. It was a perfect fit. We will see how everything works once I find the intake spider I need. Checked ebay but cant find one. Powerstrokeshop.com has one for around 116 plus shipping. Doesnt seem to bad. wanted to finish this before I go on a training mission for a month but it will have to wait. Thanks alot though for all the input. anyone knows where to find the intake spider cheaper let me know. Thanks

I cut off that brace too and mounted my tranny cooler in front of the IC. I picked my y-pipe up on e-bay but powerstrokeshop.com has a good price and would have bought from there it I didnt already have the one I got. Good luck
