I am trying to find some info and a part number on a flex plate for a '77 or '78 400 engine, C 6 transmission. The local Ford dealer has to go back to thier archived microfiche files for a part number, and depending on who is working they are not always willing do to that. Thought I would ask here. Any info appreciated.
The local parts store (NAPA) can get one. Manufactured by Anchor Industries. Any idea how this might compare with the one manufactured by ATP at Rock Auto?

It took me less than two minutes to put my 4 different microfiche slides (1965/72 Car / 1973/79 Car / 1973/79 Truck / 1980/89 Truck) into the viewer to come up with the following part number:
D1AZ6375A .. Flexplate / Obsolete
The last MSRP was: $186.57.
BURNS FORD in Burns OR has ONE = 541-573-6014.
KINSEL L/M in Beaumont TX has EIGHT = 800-816-2894.
PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 11 = 888-727-0418.
GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 12 = 800-543-4959.
I ended up ordering an aftermarket flexplate manufactured by Anchor Industries through the local NAPA store here. Wanted to have the Ford part number to be certain it was the correct one. Never did hear back from the local Ford parts guys.
