I'm finally getting around to dropping in my 351w into my 4x4, having some trouble locating the propor flex plate though. It's a 95 F150 4x4 with the 4R70W trans in it and had the 302 in it. I'm working on putting a 94 351w engine in it ( from a bronco ) and that had the E4OD trans, not able to swap the trans with it so that's out of the question. I remember seeing what FP to use months ago but lost the number. Any one know off hand?
You need a 28oz 164 tooth flexplate for an AOD transmission. The 5.8 was only mated with an AOD in some mid '80s crown Vics so that is what you need to search for, that motor was never factory installed with the AOD or the 4R70w in trucks.
