hard starting 96 v8
What I did to get it started was floor gas pedal while cranking it once going it idled and drove fine.
To add to it I had been driving with check engine light on due to bad O2 sensor, the the check engine light is off now with the error code after this incident. I confirmed it with code reader error still there.
I had driven it 1400 miles so everything up to operating temp. This occured after I had fueled up in Kansas a couple of times and Denver once, what I had noticed was ethenol in every fuel grade, I think 10% but not sure.
ideas???
Does your scan tool have the ability to monitor pending codes? If so, were there any for misfires on specific cylinders? How about for the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP)?

same thing on the error code, PO133 oxygen sensor, with the check engine light still off.
No other error codes.
the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is that the one in the distributor hole?
I did run in to one that was failed and did not set a diagnostic code. Oddly that one failed the same time as the fuel pump. My friend's wife went out to start her Sport in the driveway, wouldn't start. Her husband found no fuel pressure, verified the inertia switch wasn't tripped, didn't hear the pump priming the system. He changed the pump in the driveway, still wouldn't start but now had fuel. I went over and found he had no spark. I backprobed the CKP while he cranked the engine, no signal on the oscilloscope. He bought a new CKP, I installed it, and the Sport fired right up. There were no stored or pending codes for either failed component.

Now no light but PO133 still there, just odd that the no start would couse that.
