I have 2 1949 F1s plus an extra cab. I was thinking about making a 4 door out of them. Can anyone offer any insight? I don't plan to use the flathead 6 or 8 that I have. I also plan to install a C4 Corvette suspension using brackets from Flatout Engineering. Has anyone tried their stuff yet? Thanks in advance for any input.
It is possible and has been done at least once. I saw a picture of one on google, it appeared to be a larger truck (F5 or F6, maybe), give me a second to try to get a link. As far as being plausible/practical, someone else could offer insight. I know it's been done a lot with 60s-70s trucks (that's actually how the factory did it; with two normal cabs cut and welded together), but I'm not sure about a 40's truck.
Arlin, click on 48fordcoe's name and a flyout menu will offer his gallery, among other links. Go there to see that he's done more than the plan. I too intend to tackle this task but so far have only planned.

Arlin-
Welcome. I have done the Flat Out Engrg kit and it is a quality product and Don is good to help if you need it. Sounds like you have an ambitious project planned. Good luck with it.
