vibration at take off while turning

Hi, all new to this group, spent most of my time at the 67 to 72 link. As for my problem, I purchased a 2003 super crew f150 with 5.4. It has 88,000 miles, and after owning for a few thousand miles, I have noticed a vibration or maybe a shutter when I take off from a dead stop, but only notice it when i am turning from the take off. Any ideas?

Welcome aboard.

It is the limited slip clutches chattering. You can try a fluid change and add 2 bottles of Ford friction modifier to maybe eliminate the chatter.

get a 75 w 140 full synthetic gear lube. you can get generic at Wal Mart for 1/2 price or get name brand at Auto Zone, etc. You can get a 7 oz bottle of modifier at Auto Zone, cheaper than the 4 oz bottles at FORD.

Had the same thing happen to my 2001 F150 Supercrew, added the lube, still didn't work. Had the clutches replaced for the low low price of $700, but it runs like a dream now!

Are the clutches something that I can replace if I know what I am doing? How much are the parts?

My 97 was exhibiting this rear end chatter.

I pulled the ABS sensor out and dumped in a bottle of the friction modifier. Problem has gone away for the most part but it took some time and driving for the condition to improve.
