Toolpush youll love the truck in the mountains. As I mentioned in previous post just wen on a trip to AZ and went up to flagstaff pulling a 35' 5er and it was amazing how much more power I had from my 05. The 4:10 gear helps also.

I just finished a 250 mile haul of my 17.5k fiver from about 3300 to 5500 ft with a headwind of 30 mph. Got only 6.6 mpg but the truck pulled like a champ no issues and hardly knew it was pulling that load unless I looked at the readout. I usually get about 9.5-10.5 pulling that load and 14 driving around sightseeing.

mileage improved
Now that i'm up to around 14K on my truck and have Spartan i'm getting 18-19mpg running 70mph on flat ground. Seems like 10-12K was the magic number for break in as i was getting 17.5mpg with Spartan before getting over the 10K mark. These numbers are hand calculated and running the 75hp tune.
