15k miles on my 6.4, figured I better change the fuel filters. Motorcraft filters for $47, Pain in the A$$ with the rail mounted one. Makes you wonder which summer intern was learning Auto cad when they laid this one out. Five key cycles and she cranked right up. Ford want's ~$150 where I live so the $100 bucks and a few ringing ears made it worth it. Can't wait till the next one L.O.L.
Its unbelievable what they get for oil and fuel filters changes. The bottom fuel filter can be a bit of a PITA though. Next time you need filters, let me know!
Open the petcock on the lower bowl, take the filter out, and while it's out, crack the filter open up top, this will allow SOME of the fuel to drain out and not make as much of a mess - and yes, the filter underneath SUCKS.
