Hello Fellas,

Would like to know what you guys think about this stuff, especially if you use it.
And if you don't, why not ? (other than price).

From my research, it seems to be able to do everything that OATs and HOATs and ELCs can do, but better.

Plus no electrolysis and no corrosion. And good to 500K+ miles.

I'm just wondering if it has all these good properties, why it is not used more?

I was thinking of flushing and switching over to this coolant, but wanted to hear what you had to say first. Don't want to do any damage.

Truck in Sig. Do it?

The reason I'm not using it is the price, availability issues, and the fact that it gets thicker at lower temperatures, as well as the whole rigmarole you have to go through to switch from aqueous cooolant. We have a lot of problems getting all of the water out of these blocks.

It wouldn't be hard to dry the block out, just disconnect the radiator hoses, and run it down the freeway for about 30 minutes, that should dry her up inside real good LOL!

Doc, I've been using Evans since 2003. I like the facts you listed but also like the zero pressure system. no blown hoses etc. as far as cold weather operation I've seen 20 below several times and never had an issue. my hot weather temps stay down even when towing heavy over steep mtn grades. price and availability are issues but the pluses outway the minuses for me.
