Engine compartment light?
Do all Excursions have a light in the engine bay? I've seen them (OEM) wired to the underside of the hood. For some reason my Ex doesn't have one.
Is it a simple plugin wire I could purchase from Ford?

There are several things they lefto off the 04's and 05's.
Underhood blanket,
cubby mat
console mat
underhood light
door courtesy lights.
The blanket and light and the door lights can be retrofitted. Ask for info and we can direct you to previous threads.

And, no, you do not have to buy a expensive harness. they are too easy to make. Wire, electrical tape, flexible cable sheeth, crimp ends, some cable ties, an you are in business.

The little lights under the hood are next to useless. All you need to do is get a mini 12V fluorescent shop light. The kind that has the alligator climps you attach to the battery terminals. And you have 25 times more light.
