That Summit shaft looks like a Borgeson unit. They make excellent aftermarket shafts.

Your truck parts are listed in the 1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog which very few ppl on this site have a copy of.

The 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog has the SAME ILLUSTRATION of the steering column as the 1964/72 parts catalog has.

This is why I asked Chad (jermafenser) to post a pic of it.

Thanks for the LMC catalog info, but I already know all about them.

I wouldn't buy anything from them as most of their parts are el cheapo made in China crap.

btw: I use the term "kiddo" all the time when addressing members of FTE.

Some older guys like myself (I just turned 65) use terms like this when addressing the younger generation.

It's not meant as an insult.

Yeah ,I'm with you on the "kiddo " comment , I'm a couple of years older than you and I have found out [ SOME ] not all , of the younger generation are insulted to easy, they take things the wrong way . I try to help here and on other forums with the forty plus years experiance I have and I get comments back that makes me think they don't really want help ,they just want to talk about there vehical . I really like all the free information you give . Even at my age I listen and learn a lot . thanks for all your help .Sorry if I have insulted any of the younger generation .

listen fellas. i got no problem with being called "kid". or "kiddo". or "young buck". or any of those things. i'm used to it. it was just kinda hard to understand his intent by the comment. can we leave it alone now and get back to the task at hand?
