By brothers got a F-250 '07.
Been running a Bully Dog PMT for a while now but it started acting up a couple of months ago after a service. I got it working again but now it only says: "Problem writing fram".
Since it coincided with happening after service only thing that springs to mind write off the bat is if the dealership(or whomever you took it to) changed the PCM program and you still had the Bully Dog in there.
Thats the only thing that comes to my mind. I've only messed with the triple dog and I got away from Bully Dog long before the PMT came out.
I've just spoken to my brother who spoke to the mechanic. Apparently it only coincided with service, because they had only done a regular service (oil + filter change)
Well you already re-set the SD card, so that would take a corrupted file off the table atleast on the SD card.
Can you re-set the PMT? If you can, you'll probably lose all your gauge warnings etc that are stored in memory(unless they store it on the SD card as far as your 0-60 times etc go).
Can always check to see if it's a firmware issue and update to the latest software for the PMT.
Otherwise, I'm sorry, but I'm just not totally familiar with the PMT, triple dog now that's a different story.
Don't know how to reset the PMT, if it's actually possible?!
There isn't a reset button.
There doesn't need to be a dedicated reset button. There might be a way to do it thru the various menus of the device or it might just be as simple as unhooking it from it's power source. Which if it's like the Outlook Monitor that would be it's hookup to the OBD-II computer.
Bully Dog doesn't have the PMT manual for me to find out for sure(or I can't find it if they do, all I could find was installation instructions).
EDIT: Never mind I see that it gets it's power from what looks like a wire tap, if I'm reading the installation instructions correctly. Could always to try to disconnect and reconnect that. That would effectively be a like a reset switch/button.
I've tried removing the power source but I don't know if that has cleared it. Doesn't seem like it anyway. I've also tried several different key-combinations while I plug in the power if there's any secret reset function, no luck so far

Ok, that would make it seem like everything that can be edited by the user is stored on the SD card.
Always a chance that the SD card got corrupted(long shot I know).
I could not find any troubleshooting info on the installation guide. You could always try emailing bullydog. When I had the Triple Dog they always seemed to be helpful and replied in a modest time period from when I emailed them.
I've also tried with another SD card so it shouldn't be that either.
I'm still waiting reply from Bully dog. But I sent it this morning (finnish time) so I guess they haven't got to work yet
No, it's still a little early here. I would say atleast another hour before I would start to think about it being there. And that's not to say that it will be there in an hour, but I can't remember if they are central or mountain(I think mountain) and they would either just be now opening or won't be opening for another hour depending on the time zone.
What is a reasonable amount of time before getting upset.. in USA, because of no reply?
Typically I haven't had to wait past a day, but it has been 2 yrs since I've dealt with them. I would give it another day and then email again. Sometimes emails or using the internet forms that they have under "Contact Us" don't always get through(it doesn't happen often, but it does happen).
Or and I hate to say it, their service could have gone down hill after I left for whatever reason. That does happen as well. I'm not saying it did, but it could have.
They even used to be a sponsor of the Computer Chips and Tuners forum before DP did it, so alot could have happened.
