I have an 06 350 6 speed with 88,000 miles. About two weeks ago i got the 0299 code so i cleaned the turbo and put back. Still had the 0299 code even after i try to delete it with my bully dog PMT. a few days later i got 0299 and 2262 codes so i pulled and cleaned again and replaced unison ring. today while driving same thing happened.
things i have done
cleaned turbo and replaced unison ring
cleaned ebp sensor and tube
cleaned egr
cleaned map hose
I have searched this site for a few weeks now and this problem is driving me nuts all help is greatly appriceated
also verify at KOEO that MAP,EBP,BARO all read the same if one doesnt you found the culprit
have you checked your CAC Boots for holes and bad clamps
could also be a cracked up pipe
P0299 is not a fun code to get Lots of possibilities
P2262 Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Pressure Not Detected - Mechanical
a better one
P2262 C Turbo/Super Charger Boost Pressure not Detected -
Mechanical
No boost pressure increase was detected MAP hose, MAP sensor, CAC system leaks, Intake leaks, EP sensor,
exhaust restriction
and welcome to FTE stick around and read thru that tech folder lots of great stuff in there
Check the electrical connections for the MAP sensor and check the hose nipple in the intake for plugging. Really sounds like a bad MAP sensor to me though since you've done everything else.
i checked for leaks on cac tube and exhaust pipes they are in good shape. i forgot to mention that city driving it is really slow to build boost like 2,000rpm before it comes in.
and at cruising speed boost is 0-3 psi and it wont boost over 3 psi,if i turn truck off and restart it will boost somewhat right for a few miles then it just looses all psi
i checked the plug to the map sensor everything looked ok to me and ran a pipe cleaner in the nipple on the intake.
up date i unplugged ebp and drove no change in how fast turbo spools but only boosted to aprox 10 psi. I understand this is suppose to happen do to a default reading. next i plugged that in and unplugged the map sensor and drove. this time it spooled like it should in 1st and 2nd and 3rd gear (not enough room in the neighboor hood for much more)
does this mean that the map is bad and possibly the ebp also.
