Power steering/Alternator bracket need quick answer
How do you remove the powersteering pump from the bracket? My serpentine belt came off the other day and I found that two of the bolts that hold the pump to the bracket were broke off and only one was holding it. Now I have to get the pump off to get the broken bolts out of the pump.
Sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately the pulley needs to come off.
I attached Procedure. Maybe someone can give advise about the special tool to get pulley off. I made one but it is a cobbed up piece of crap. But it got it off and on. Maybe someone has a price and were you can get the tool. I bet the auto store has one on there shelves reasonable.
I got the pulley off got the bolts out put some new ones in and got it back together. I refilled the pump with Dexmerc fluid. It seems to be working good so far. I'll keep you posted.
