I have the opportunity to install a set of the braces that go from the frame to the axles. I forget what the proper name is for them. (CRS).
Question: Do any of you guys have these braces and are they worth the effort?
Q2: What exactly is the advantage of this mod?
2003 F250 V10 CC FX4 with 4" lift DC3s and 35" Terra Grapplers
Rob is dead on. Ladder bars limit axle wrap and help to eliminate wheel hop under full throttle acceleration. On certain unibody car configurations they also, properly designed and installed, acted as sub frame connectors. The V10 in your sig probably has enough torque to make your drive wheel(s) feel like they're coming up on your fronts so the ladder bars would be more than eye candy, albeit more useful if you were racing your truck.
If not already equipped, the addition of a 1 1/4" rear anti sway bar may be a more useful suspension mod.
Thanks, LMS. I do not race the truck but I do pull a 5ver and do a little offroading. As I understand it, there isn't much benefit for offroading just hotrodding. Is that correct?
