Now that's a mess. Are you in an area that can flood? Luckily, we live up in a hilly area. If my house floods, we're all in trouble!

I posted earlier...probably the same as it is there in NE. Nothins movin here, just found out they pulled the snowplows off the road because of treacherous conditions. Parts of the interstate are closed and have been deemed "impassable". 3 foot drift on my front porch....last car I saw go by was following a plow and that was about an hour ago.

Good day to stay inside.

I let the pups out to do their thing, they played in the snow yesterday afternoon, today, they weren't to interested in playing too long... I didn't get one snow fence up, and since the dirt (more like mud) that is piled up on the trench is making a nice drift, of course right across the lane.. oh well. It filled in from the east first, the only direction I have no protection, and now is filling from the north... It is interesting to see the snow fence working on the windy side instead of catching it on the downwind side... But for the most part, a good day to get a little bit of studying done, as I doubt I get out to the shop at my parents today. I still have to replace the chimney for the wood burner, so no heat just yet anyway.

Well made our run today (I drive to Peoria at night, he drives to Seward NE in the morning) He got there this morning and they told him that we were the last truck to make it yesterday and the first to make it today. The other couple trucks from our company still haven't gotten there yet LOL

I had to shovel my way INTO the house when I got home this morning, and here is what I find as I am getting ready to head out tonight.

I took some pictures this morning. Drifting is getting pretty bad out there by this time at night.

I got stuck trying to go down to my parents, as their furnace was acting up. I got stuck in my lane again... I miss my diesel, it would likely have kept on plowing... When I went to open the door, I had to push snow drift out of the way. I got back up here with the tractor and snow blower, and have a 3-4' drift across my lane after where I got stuck. I had to walk to my parents to get there. They plowed the road, but it is nearly filled in again, but worse since they piled it higher on the side of the road. My snow fence worked well, it is just about the same height piled up behind the snow fence...

No kidding! Have to warm up to even have a positive number! I went and forgot to plug the tractor in so I could finish cleaning up, so now I'll have to wait a bit to get going... oh well, maybe it will get above 0 while I wait... yeah right!

Beh...had to dig the truck out of a giant snow drift this morning. Apparently, our driveway is a natural wind tunnel..that stops at the garage right where my truck sits. Took me a half hour.

She did start this morning, -4 or -5 or something at my house. Had been plugged in for two hours.

Oh, and, good morning!
