I finally have rural water hookup, no more hauling it! Just fighting a leak on the source line, hopefully have it sealed now, find out in a few hours. Doesn't look like we will have any ground freezing for a bit yet... Darn rains silted in over the pipe, so it is tougher to work with. I had left the trench open to work with it, then we got several inches of rain over a couple weeks, and covered the pipe on me. I had hoped to have decent access... it is better than having to totally dig it up though. I had a crack in the side of the pipe 4-6" long, so having to try to get that taken care of.

Dang thing keep seeping just a little... about 1 drip every six seconds... sad part is, all the trouble is in the line they put down, but it is after the meter, so it is my problem...

Don't they guarantee their work? If they put it in, it should be their problem even though it is after the meter. Sounds like someone possibly stepped on the pipe or drove over it

It is in an area I had to re dig to hook up, so even though there is no mark on it, I am sure they would pass off the blame. It does appear I may have got it finally... Their paperwork states that any leaks after the meter are our responsibility. This break was in the part that curved up, and I had filled in the trench and packed it a bit to keep the horses from getting hurt, since it ran through their pasture. It is possible I got too close. I know they use some pretty thin walled pipe..

greyghost, sounds a lot like it had been like here up until the last week or so... finally got more than a couple day's break from the rain. Staying just south of us right now.
