I wonder if you could adapt one from a factory 460... My guess would be that there are probably mounting bosses on the newer engine that are not on the older block design that would prevent you from using a scrap yard drive.\
I'm finally feeling better so I'm hoping to haul off the scrap metal I've accumulated over the last 10 years and make things look a bit better around here.
Good morning. Gunna have to change the water pumps on what is becoming a PITA engine swap, but I'm also excited that I think i'll have it running tomorrow.
I only work Mon - Thurs. so today's my day off. Too bad I'm still recovering from this bug or I'd be loading up some more of the junk from around here and getting rid of it. Looks like its going to be raining here soon.
Keep that rain away from me, I have painted the underside of the metal runner's to prevent/slowdown rust, and am in the middle of replacing the broken boards.
Then going to thompson's water seal the whole deck, then if it isn't raiing I will put the metal down, 1/8" tread plate, 2Ft wide X 17 Ft long and the whole dovetail will be covered also.
Worked on the '77 all weekend. Very productive yet never feels like I got enough done. Overall good weekend though.
* Side note (too funny not to share)- My daughter got a power wheels for toddlers a week or two ago. The power button is where the horn should be since toddlers cant really reach a foot controled power button. She is starting to get more comfortable with it and now to get to my story.... She climbed on the hood the other day while the wife and I where watching T.V. sitting on her knees, she reached across the car and hits the power button. We didnt notice what she was doing until we see her go flying across the living room on the hood of this car and we started laughing our ***'s off. Very funny in person, wish I caught it on camera sort of thing.
