Yeah, we're having her bday party Sat. but the boss let me go home 1/2 day and we opened a few presents we got her.
$5k would be too much for me also. I like 'em when their that clean and straight but that's getting a bit pricey. Of course, I probably wouldn't say the same if it was my truck and I was trying to sell it "Hell, $5400 is a bargin!" LMAO
We're all dry here! The soft top on my Tracker was making the gal who carpools with me a bit nervous last night on the way home. It got to flapping around in the wind and she was sure it was leaving. I'm hoping that it holds out long enough for me to scrape the cash together to replace it.
Would someone PLEASE explain to me why someone would go through so much effort to modify a truck only to weaken the structure to make it work? Not too familiar with "the frame notch mod", but that can't be good. I can see someone bragging that they got the 460 in only to tweak the frame when they got on it.
Anyhow - 2 days down, 2 to go then I'm off to Branson for the weekend.
I've been swamped for the last couple of days and haven't had the energy/time to play on the computer much. What time I have had, I've been trying to get stuff done so I can escape this weekend come rain or shine. I'm kinda sad that its starting to be dark when I leave for work and getting that way by the time I get home. So much for getting anything done after work.
My daughter's b-day is Sunday and when we asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday, she wanted to go camping and to Silver Dollar City. We've got sites reserved at the Old Highway 86 Corps of Engineers park south of Branson for Friday and Saturday nights. I can't wait to hitch up the van to the trailer and head that way - my Ram would just about bust a nut trying to keep up with traffic up and down the hills. I'm sure the v-10 ought to be fun.
Oops - got off track. We'll spend Saturday at Silver Dollar City (Gonna get every dime I can out of the season tickets) and chill out in the evening. Sunday morning will be lazy while we get things gathered up and check out as late as possible. I might try to get a bit of fishing in if the opportunity presents itself, but won't lose any sleep if I don't.
I try to get out as often as I can (which explains why the lawn doesn't get mowed often ). Since leaving the public schools and starting at the state, I no longer get summers off and don't get as much time with the kids as I'd like. Hitting the area campgrounds helps make up for those lost weeks. It may sound lame - but it helps.
I'll grab some shots and post sometime next week. By the way, one of my coworkers is going with us and is also a Ford fan. She has her uncle's 1964 F100 work truck that they bought for him new in 64. When he retired, they rebuilt the engine and gave it to him as a retirement present. She got it as a graduation present. Its one sweet, all original ride. I'll see if she'll let me post a picture of "Louie" for ya.
well, have a LOT of fun....or we'll make you do it again! lol btw, you are the privileged recipient of my THREE HUNDRETH post!!! yay! for me a big achievement. hard to believe some of these guyz are in the 5 thousands.
