i like the 73 thru 79 the most. i disagree with your PO, rich. i like the round lites. very fav is 76-77. then i go all the way back to early 50s. 51?(maybe) you know the one with the gnarly, toothy grill. i think the one on sanford and son was that style. i believe there is a blue one in the galleries. anyway, rich...would ya buy me one fer Christmas?
The day was way too long, but was completely uneventful. I've got family coming in this weekend so I'm not going anywhere. Maybe I can get the rear seat belts untangled this weekend.
Well got the new Old Ford factory push bar all cleaned up and a fresh coat of paint. Will put it on with the newer better shape bumper (thanks again UnkBob).
And decided to change the black/silver grill/headlight rings over to chrome. Then decided to mask off the chrome outer edge and paint the inner silver part on the grill, black, and a little touch up on the rad support area.
Will get it put on tomorrow and post a pic for everyone, I am slowly migrating from my house fix up list and getting started on the Ford truck fix up list, oops.
i am gonna pay the last hundred on my new rig. and put some gas in it, and say a prayer, and see if i can get it home. found out today that it is a 86. if the owners man in the glovebox is the correct one. more updates to come darrell
You lucky dog! I shouldn't complain - Payday was on Monday.
My current job pays twice a month which I think is pretty cool considering that I spent 12 years on a job that payed once a month. It wasn't even a set date - it was the Friday after the third Thursday of the month. It took me 3 years to get it set in my brain.
well, got paid. paid the jy and got key and salvage title. still gotta get her home. batt was down. jy didnt want to trust gas in tank(sittin at least 2 yr) so they hooked up a gas can and gravity fed the fuel pump. i am more afraid of under hood fire than crummy gas. what do you guys think? i'd like to get her tonite, but weather may not cooperate. girlyfriend done said she wont tow me! lol
