Just get it towed or trailered, not worth the risk of injury or hassle of a road side breakdown. Most towing companies have roll back trucks to haul the whole thing off the ground.
Versus just picking up just the front end like some tow companies do. If I was a little closer I would bring up my new car hauler flat bed with a winch and drag it home for you.
Here's my latest bit of work, yes I know I still have those front blocks from the PO, but haven't had the time to order a new correct lift and install it.
Even made some plastic spacers to prevent push guard to bumper rubbing.
Yea its all beat up, and got some surface bubble rust, but mechanically its good. Maybe some day a new paint job, but gotta fix the PO front spring block lift first.
Looking at a 4" or 6" all spring lift from SkyJacker, that what I used on ol Red (6").
well, fellers, i got her home. she sure looks good, sittin there beside the house. now, the fun starts. i would say, and the green is gonna start flyin out my wallet...but, its already doin that. took rich's advice and had her towed. 40 bucks, but it was worth it. rich, There's Iron In Your Words For All To See lol (from the movie, Outlaw Josie Wales)
one of these days we'll meet face to face, like rich has said. there are some good folks that post on these threads. and they come from all walks of life. we just have in common that we love our ol ford truck(or van).
Morning all, well craigslist got the better of me. So Penny and I are going on a road trip for a parts truck 79 F150 4x4 351 4 spd, and the price is right.
Its got a flat bed and is in excellent condition, NO rust he says, will keep you posted.
