I have an 09 stx with black mirrors/no turn signals, there is however cut outs where the turn signals would go....anyone know if the truck is already wired for these signals ie could i just remove the knockouts and put the lights in??

I would guess you could. These trucks are notorious for being wired for everything. Someone esle asked this question not too long ago. Try searching, maybe you could see what they came up with.
How big of a deal is it to take off the mirror?? I assume the inside door panel has to come off first? Anyone have any insight/tips on this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, you need to take the inside of the door off first, then it is only 3 bolts holding the mirror to the truck. I don't think you can get "insert" the blinker part into the mirror, as the pins will be missing from the mirror side connector.
But I am willing to bet the truck is already prewired for signal and heat (that's how my 06 was), you would just need to get a mirror with that.
The outside lenses are REFLECTORS ONLY. They are not lights nor are they turn signals.
I replaced my Lariat ones with STX ones last week. I think that's what you're talking about?
Dan
no he's actually talking about the turn signals on the inside bottom of the mirrors. The STX mirrors actually have a "blank" cutout for the little signal strip. but for what he's talking about trying, it would probably just be easier to buy some XLT or above mirrors with the signals and swap the entire mirror out.
