vin # locations...
I think i have been duped, i just bought an 88 f150, i got home and realized there is no vin number on the truck behind the windshield where it should be. no vin in the door jam... somebody help me

Besides those two points, I think there is also one on the top of the top frame rail somewhere on the front half (driver side door) forward. You will need a mirror for this. Again, im not positive but I think there is one there.

When I was swapping my bed off of my 89 I found a VIN tag right in the middle of the bed lower wall seam next to the cab. The same was also found on the 87 bed I used. Both were held on by rivits. It will hang down from the seam and probly will be over the transimission or xfer case. It will be a hard one to find and read, unless you pull the bed, then its right in the open...
I have also heard of a hidden place inside the cab, but yet to find it.
On some vehicles you have to pull the windshield to find the hidden VIN in the windshield seam area, I don't think Ford trucks did that.
Are you sure the VIN is not covered with dirt and ect?

i found a vin.. and it matches the vin on the title, thanks for your help guys i am new to fords so i am sure i will have more questions
