I've been visiting/posting/lurking in the Ford forums for years and am amazed at you parts knowledge - Thank you!

Anyway, I recently ran across a transmission linkage bearing/bushing for a 68 Galaxie 390 that I'm missing.

My MPAC says the part number is a C7SZ-7341-B.

I'm sure it's obsolete, but does it possibly cross-reference or is there a replacement part number?

It's probably common bushing I might be able to get from Dorman?

I've always wondered, is there some reference book available (for a price, I'm sure) that would allow me to look up part numbers for replacement, cross-reference?

Thanks mucho in advance!

I have a 1979 F350 4x4 and there is a bushing in the shifter linkage I can't identify. I know Bronco Graveyard has shifter bushings, but I don't think it applies to this one. I have included a picture of the (not exact) linkage, "reference only", but it is the one near the the outer bracket 7C324 in the picture. This truck has a C6 automatic, Is this called a bell crank bushing?

After reading this page, I see that there are color codes as well. There isn't much left but a small piece sticking out of the pivot point. I will see If I can get a color off of that.

Parts Catalog pic below:

Pic shows the 1973/77 NSS location and 1979 F350 4WD isn't listed, but it's the only pic there is.

Only bushing is 7341 (EOSZ-7341-B) that I listed twice in this thread. There's two locations, so 2 bushings.

Thanks for your response. I will take this picture to the dealer and see if they can get the part. The 7A185 looks more to be the one I need. It figures that the one I need is hidden in the picture. It's the one closest to the frame near the bracket, bottom shaft. This is a good start. I know there were numbers given before in this thread, but with the hand full of bushings, locations of those were puzzling. I will take this one , "what's left of it" out to see if there is any color left to it as well.
thanks!

In that pic, item 7c431 as well as 7a185 house bushings that support the bell crank; were these bushings available or was this a total component replacement? Thanks numbers.

The only bushings shown in the pic I posted are basic part number 7341.

Both the bushing shown in the 7302 selector lever on the column and the 7A256 manual control selector lever on the trans are the same: EOSZ-7341-B

Wonderful, but the applications for this puppy is 1973/76 F100 360/C6 4WD

This thread was dead without a post in 3 years (9/15/2015) before Cougar2 dug it up yesterday.

He has a 1979 F350 4WD, so there's no 7C327 bushing listed.

I went to the Ford dealer last night and I gave them the numbers, 7A185 and EIFZ-7F330-A. He said the 7A185 was a bracket # without looking at a book, but the EIFZ-7F330-A was the bushing, a package of two. I ordered them and they will be here this morning. I used the photo that NumberDummy posted and he was able to say this was the part needed. Thank you NumberDummy!!

So in that bell crank bracket the part 7c324 has a bushing in it, a brown or orange rubber one. it is larger than the bushings in the lever on the bell crank. Were these available or was this a whole bracket replacement? thanks for the pics guys.

Geez Louise! You can lead a mule to water, but you cannot make it drink!

Where did Cougar2 get that pic? It's WRONG! There is no .. repeat no 7C324 listed for Cougar2's truck, none!

And, E1FZ-7F330-A is the WRONG bushing. This is for a 1981/89 Escort/Lynx.

I listed the correct part number several times. Why Cougar2 gave the dealer the wrong part number, I dunno.
