Yes I am talking about hooking truck to truck on black top I would like to see you try also. Which year DODGE motor are you bragging about? My son has a crummings and I give it to him it is a hoss but I can pull him. He may out run me but he has the auto and the gears for it.

First off, its not a DODGE engine, and I dont have any one year of cummins in my truck. I personally built this engine my self. Trust me, I will drag you. 12,000 lb truck with 4.88 gears. Sorry, you dont have a chance.

OK you scared me I give. Sorry for the hijack but I am done here. I did help put a smoke switch in a dodge and it works great. But dont think you can a 7.3 unless its a chip with it tuned for it.

Are you saying that a Cummins isn't a
Dodge engine or are you saying that you lost track of what you said earlier.

If I remember my history, Cummins was a Ford owned company before they cut them loose...

EDIT: And "hooking back-to-back" is stupid. It just proves who breaks traction first. You want to compare, do it on a track or a real pulling competition. Nothing wrong with a Cummins, but don't come in here bashing the PSD. It CAN and DOES make tons of power. Yes, it takes more money to do it, but it has been done. I mean 700 rwhp on fuel.

The block came from a school bus, Ford I believe, the head was originally from a Dodge, but completely reworked, Injection pump and turbo came from a Frieghtliner. Now, that doesnt look like a DODGE engine to me, does it????? Anyway, Dodge doesnt make the cummins, they just have the contract with them.

As for the smoke switch, all you have to do is fool the ecm into thinking there is more boost there than actual and it will smoke. Smoke doesnt lie, we did both F-250s this way. Smoke on demand. It works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BigCat350, anytime you want to hook, let me know. Ill hook, who knows, maybe you can pull me.

Izzy, your right back to back is dumb. The heavier truck would win. I dont do drag strip, too slow. Im not saying Im fast, I said I can outpull any PSD that has the same amount of money invested. Yeah, you could go spend several grand on a Powerstroke and beat me, big wup.

Izzy, Im not bashing the PSD. I know they can make power, but they take a lot of money to do it. I have $300 stuck into a set of injectors, everything else is stock. Its putting out somewhere near 600 hp. Not sure, it hasnt seen a set of rollers yet, but it will shortly. I was on here looking for info on a PSD we have, gave a simple reply to the original ? when everyone else said it couldnt be done. Well, it can. I dont mean to start anything, just a little friendly conversation. I know I was on here before when I still had the powerstroke in here, and couldnt get much help on questions I was asking. At the time, I knew more about Cummins and could swap cheaper than what it would cost me to rebuild the powerstroke.

I understand that. So do many others. I've spent probably as much on mine by now as it would've cost to put one in. I thought about it many times, and came to the conclusion that putting a Cummins in a Super Duty is like putting a 350 in a classic Ford. Yeah, it can be done, but it's too much like dating your sister. Just wrong. LOL

EDIT: If you just want to compare "power vs. dollars spent", the Cummins wins everytime. Just a fact of life. Can we move on now?

Hooking back to back would be stupid for a 2wd truck to do with a 4wd. Yes traction is a part of it but have you ever pulled some one with traction but not enough truck I have.

SDcummins you came in bashing PSD so I stepped up to see what you have, it sounds like you have a tank. Just asking what hp is that motor making.
I would still hook em sounds like I would for sure be the underdog.
