It is alive!!!
Hey guys, I just thought I would make an announcement. I bought a 66 F-100 on Friday, and the previous owner said he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I towed it home on Wednesday, and got him running today. It is one beautiful truck to start with. It has a straight body, 240 I6, and 3 on the tree. Starts up as easy as my 2007 F-150. The previous guy had the positive cable hooked to the block and the negative connected to the Solenoid, and the points gapped about .5 in the closed position. Wonder why it wouldn't run??????

Wow, these treasures are about as basic as it gets; fuel, spark, and if timing is anywhere in the ball park, your set to go. Some times a sellers lack of mechanical 'know how' pays off and there's not alot of haggling over the selling price. Hopefully u got a good deal.

I am thinking that it is a good deal. Everything is going smooth, and I am going to start on the brakes next week, and see if I can get it on the road. Then I can get the cab done, and start on the exterior.
