ok im thinking of buying this truck its in good shape, has a problem tho he says it will crank and run normal for about 5-10-15 minutes then it will start going into run away, i was thinking maybe cdr or ip what do yall think?
is there a cl add i thought u died lol i know what cause this in turbo diesel is to turboed or na if turbos might be a bad seal some where and might be burn oil
From what I've learned here, it's probably sucking oil through the cdr, or it's low on fuel and sucking air. Mine will runaway if I let it get too low on fuel.
im about 99%sure its the cdr cause i pulled the air cleaner and it very oily, and also has anyone ever seen one with factory soup bowl delete? this one is but the hole that is in the air clear is very small and restrictive
Could be the CDR, or it could be massive amounts of blow by. What sort of power does the truck have? how much oil vapor comming out of the filler tube when idling hot?

havent bought it yet or seen it run, he askind 800 for it im going to try to get it for 650 has a nice body real straight no rust at all, specs its an 86 f250 4x4 6.9 t-19 n/a
You guys are really starting to **** me off. You can't even get a rust free 86 box for under $1000 up herelolz
Sounds like it could be a great deal but take your time here because a busted 6.9 isn't cheap to rebuild.
i dont care if the engine is f'kd i have a 83 model 6.9 has a 20.7:1 compression ratio thats just begging to go in it with some head studs and lots of turbo boost since its 83 it has factory lower compression
