ABS Light

2008 F-150 5.4L 52,000 miles

The ABS light comes on once in a while. When I shut of the truck I guess it resets it again. Anybody have any thoughts on the cause?

Dirty or partially covered sensor?
Sensor loose? Sensor connection...?
ABS module connection issues?
Poppet valves going bad?

Get the code, the PCM will have logged it even though the light is off.

Not a Ford, but I have my Jeep in the shop for some service. Also have a ABS light on for 5 yrs with no probs. the mech said its the whirlygig in the tranny shorted out. 1800$ to make light go out. I said I'll keep the black electrical tape over the light.
