Moog ball joint ?

Moog ball joint ?
I'm getting ready to change my upper and lower ball joints on my 99 f150 and have a ? about the lowers.
I'm going to use Moog ball joints and was wondering if I can press them in the original lower control arm or do I have to buy the Moog control arms?
Thanks in advance.

i don't recall moog making the lower control arms. they need to be pressed out then pressed back in. when i did mine they were fairly easy with aero-kroil or pb blaster. a nice sized hammer and solid piece of round steel that fits in the ball joint and a few good blows will pop it out. then an extremely large c-clamp (i'm talking industrial sized that weighs a good 30 to 40 pounds and over a 1 inch sized screw in it) and great feat of strength to press them back in.

Auto Zone will let yo borrow an industrial C-clamp ball join press if you get the Moog joint there. you press them out and press them back in. its not difficult all all if you got the press. there is a c-clip on the back side, take it off first. Upper joints come with the amr for about $80 each.

Moog lowers (got from Autozone) fit fine on my 2000 expy (more or less the same truck as F150), and Autzone rented me the press kit and a set of the really large sockets (one of them fit the front axle nut - 35 or 36 mm I think). I have a 4x4 so I removed the hub for both sides. I also replaced the outer tie rod ends with Moogs. No problems.
