So in the process of inspecting everything on my new to me 2000 PSD I got back to the rear end (dang that thing is big) Anyway pulled the plug on the upper front drivers side of the punkin. Normally when I do this the fluid just maybe barely dribbles out.

I pulled the plug slowly and the fluid tried coming out like gang busters. Is there another fill point? or did the previous owner over fill it?? and how did dhe do that?

 

was the fluid milky looking?I would check it for water.
normally you can't fill it that full

 

Was the truck level when you pull the plug?

 

Yea I consider myself a pretty good wrench. I will pull the cover this weekend and drian it just because.

Oil was clear .

 

Someone could've filled it thought the VSS sensor up top. While you're there, pull that sensor and clean it off.
