Mag-Hytec Install Question

For those of you with Mag-Hytec covers on your rear differentials, did you fill above the stock fill plug to get the full advertised amount of fluid into the pumpkin?

I had the stock fill plug removed while I did the cover install and left it off when I started adding fluid. I got only four quarts (instead of the advertised 6) into the diff before it started dripping out the stock fill plug.

I'm not a mechanic, but I was always under the impression the stock fill plug was there to set the maximum fill height of fluid. If I'm going to get the last two quarts in, I'll have to replace the plug and just fill away (thru the Mag-Hytec fill port).

The new cover has a dipstick, and with the four quarts (plus friction modifier), I'm right in the middle on the fill line (between the low and high points). Should I keep adding fluid or call it quits?

No ideas from anyone?

I emailed Mag-Hytec about this. They said it is okay to add the full six qts and go above the stock fill level.
