I'll give Bob the benefit of the doubt. Since you're familiar with these pumps, and from what Joe said about Rich's truck holding 3000psi; if I were to install this pump with no other changes, would I see similar results being able to maintain 3k psi? I guess that's my ultimate question. Or would I have to get back with Tony or work with you folks about tuning for this pump?
First of all, 2700psi is certainly respectable pressure and is ideal from a stock standpoint. The higher volume of the adrenaline pump should allow you to reach 3000psi without having to make any further changes. Of course, a lot of that has to do with where your current tuning is at right now. For reference, you don't want to be any higher than 3200psi for pressure, so if you do change the pump, make sure to check your pressure under hard load to make sure that you're not actually overpressurizing the oil rail. The need for retuning will depend entirely on the results you get from test runs while monitoring pressure.

I think your HPOP is weak. I'm relatively sure Tony is calling for 3000psi, so if you're not getting it, I'm sure the stronger pump will get you there. Whether or not that changes your opinion on how you "like" it, I can't say. What don't' you like about it? It looks to me that you're a little light on power. I have nearly that on stock sticks. Is that what it is??

Black smoke is fun and tells you you have all the fuel you could want for what you are doing. Ideal? No. But you do have the fuel. When I romp on mine in the higher tunes it smokes and really moves. I mean it really moves. I don't want to be coming up short there. In the 80e it does not smoke as much, and it does not move as much either. You decide what you like.

Is that wasted fuel? Probably. Why do most pulling trucks smoke so much? Poor tunes? I don't think so, just need the fuel to get it done. More is more beneficial than not enough.

Absolutely, Mike. It takes FUEL to spool the turbo, and when I first nail mine (I wonder if it has something to do with us both having 1.15 A/R housings?) it smokes MORE than it did before. But a short second later, it lights up and I'm gooooonnneee.... LOL That is also on my two upper tunes. The Daily-Driver & Tow tunes aren't nearly as bad, but are also more laggy.

I'm looking at getting one, would like to know what kind of improvements that have been seen from installing it. Truck is used a lot for towing around the farm.

I just called Dieselsite to ask a few questions about it and Bob was less than helpful. I imagine he is busy and doesn't have time to chit-chat, but I didn't get much specific information about how it'll help me besides "you'll really like it".

I did some logging on the AE with test runs laid out according to Swamps. I'm able to maintain 2700-2800psi at WOT in a run from 60-90mph. According to them, that is great. So would it benefit me to get one?

Just looking for real user information.
THANKS!

That's basically what Bob and dieselsite said. My question is, if I upgrade to this pump, can tuning be modified to better optimize the injectors knowing that the pump can maintain the flow needed, and will I get my $500 worth of improvement from it?

I bought this 17* pump from a junk yard for $100. My goal is to make the truck run as efficient as possible, especially for towing. I've owned this truck for 6 years now, second owner.
PPeople need help...Change to a new Adrenaline but my gage continue falling down when I reach 65 m/h...New Lpop..new lines and my 7.3 2001 f350 is driving me crazy..Any idea please...
