HPOP

Hey guys. I was doing some racing and blew out one of the high pressure line fittings on the pump. It took out all the threads on the hpop side, so its toast. Darn it. It was a brand new Bosch stock pump, that I put in two years ago when I did the 500hp build. Its held up well and held good pressures, but I've always wished I had gotten the Terminator 500. Now its done, and just a core. So I'm springing for the upgrade. My question, I've been looking and reading up on them, and the three top brands are the Terminator, Adrenaline, and Stealth. They don't make the Stealth anymore, but they can be had if I look hard enough. Which pump would you guys with big hybrids like me want?? The Terminator has always caught my eye, but once I read up on the Adrenaline, it seems like a much beefier unit, mind you 200 dollars more. The Terminator was good for up to 285 shot, so it would suffice, but the Adrenaline was good for any injector including B code. So I'm looking for some advice on which you think would be better. I'm leaning towards the Adrenaline because of specs, and its available now without sending my core first for rebuild. Which saves me a ton of time being in Canada. Which would you choose??

Hard to know your exact circumstances other than what you have said, but I would choose a Terminator and will choose them if/when I need to change my HPOP. Not only because of their product and reputation, but things like helping out an FTE member in need on an off day.

If you have not seen this thread, take a moment if you have it and check it out. Particularly post #13.

Ya Riffraff and Clay are great. I did my 500hp build with almost all Riffraff stuff. Cost a fortune in shipping, but real good stuff and service. Good on Terminator too. I was always leaning that way, but the fact its not available kills me. I have a 2 week shipping time and cost to get my core there, then up to 10 weeks to get it back. I can have the Adrenaline shipped today. That said, I worry Terminator can't rebuild my pump anyway. The fitting stripped out all the threads on the Hpop side, so no fitting will go in now. So can they even do a terminator with this. Also, you quote service as a deciding factor for you. Are you aware of any bad press Adrenaline has had? I couldn't find any. Really its the time factor, and Adrenaline quotes it uses a larger cartridge eliminating oil starvation on my big injectors. They say Terminator doesn't. I couldn't find info on the terminator site regarding this. Starvation is one reason I want a bigger pump.

I think you answered your own question in regards to Adrenaline or Terminator with your latest post.

Actually I havn't because there are far less reviews on the Adrenaline compared to the Terminator. I'm just quoting off there web sites and don't really know what all the goodies they talk about mean. So I was hoping to find some one who has an Adrenaline to give me some input. I know the terminator is good. I'm still waiting for Clay to respond on whether my core is rebuildable or not. If not, I have to go with the Adrenaline any way since Terminator has no in stock pumps and only rebuilds. Wish I had more reviews on the Adrenaline.

Email Joey and ask him directly. You won't get a response till tomorrow, but then again neither will Clay when he asks.

Emailing Joey is your best bet. When I was looking I was going to go with the SRP1.1

As far as I can tell the srp is no longer made or serviced. So, last on the list. Lots of failure posts too.

I haven't looked in a long time. There is a difference between the srp1 and the srp1.1 the 1.1 was a revised version of the original.
At the time there wasn't very many reviews on it but there were a lot of reviews on the srp1 and most were not good.

Before I got my T500, I was looking at the Honeybadger I think it was called. It was new and had a lot of good hype around it, but for what I needed, the T500 was more than enough. Single shot 160/30's with a 38R and it's plenty of pump.

Here is a link to the Honey Badger Jr. That was the one I was remembering. http://www.dynoproven.com/honey-badg...7-3l-hpop.html

Edit: Here I googled honey badger HPOP and in the first couple of links was a thread I started back when I was looking.

Well, after extensive research, and calling manufacturers to see whats in there. I decided to get the Adrenaline. I was leaning towards the T500 because of popularity, but worried how the fitting would be repaired. Reason being, this is my 3rd pump, all went with the stupid fittings stripping out. Yes I know this is from overtightening, but when they come loose once a week, they get weak from tightening all the time. Got sick of it. Anyway, emailed Terminator ready to go, but wanted to know how the repair would be done so I could feel comfortable it wouldn't be just a longer fitting and not a full thread repair. Guess that was too many questions, because no reply back. So I figured I'd as Dieselsite(Adrenaline). They were extremely helpful, and after about 20 emails I understood the repairs and was confident of there ability. That said, I paid the extra 100 for stainless steel threads so I can tighten it down enough it wont come loose, and not worry about stripping threads. That said, after speaking with some consumers of both models, all said both are real good, tops on market, but all agreed the Adrenaline is a much beefier unit, and is a complete build as compared to a few mods for the terminator. They even waved the core charge, and saved me a bundle on shipping a taxes. This was huge also since our dollar up here is not good right now. 130 for every 100 American. So any savings helped. Still over a grand though when the smoke clears. Lol Can't wait to see if the power gain claims are true. Didn't think it possible for me to get any more power out of this monster.
