How much for a rebuilt engine?

I wanted to get some opinions on what a newly rebuilt 460 would be worth. I have a 86 F350 and I’m planning to sell the complete running engine out of it. I have receipts, it basically stock rebuild, bored .030, crank .010, Comp Cams(Small cam for torque), Comp timing chain, Heads: Exhaust ports ported, thermactor holes plugged and bosses cut out. Stock manifolds and intake. Holley 600. Engine is in truck and can be run and driven. What do you think it is worth? Does $1200-$1500 sound reasonable?

Thanks

It is based on where you live. I see a lot of newer engines like 7.3 PSD running that sell complete for 2400.00 so it is more or less based on where you live and how bad someone wants it. It may take a few weeks but put it on craigslist at 1500.00 and see if you get any interest. If not drop it 100.00 a week until you do.
