There are a few of the Skyliners that show up to the Cruise Night at the Fairplex. I went on Wednesday and there were three. The next show is the last Wednesday of this month and not another until October, best of all its free. I like those YouTube commercials expecially the one with Ricky and Lucy.
How about starting up a thread with the details on that show at Fairplex, Alex? There might be a few folks interested in going to it...myself included.
The wheel covers are correct on the Skyliner. The red/white/blue applique with its chrome overlay was an option, and are impossible to find. The marker lamp on the right quarter panel is a gypo.
I know the caps were correct, that's why I can't believe the transporters left them on instead of throwing them into the car for safekeeping.

They look close to the Electra's, but they are a larger bolt pattern. I believe these were off of a Roadrunner or GTX, which are the same bolt pattern with a slightly larger diameter center hub hole.

Yes, and every one looks like a starter solenoid. I helped a guy work on his, and we eventually got it working, but.....
One of the guys I worked with at Douglas many years back formerly worked at Ford's Hamburg stamping plant as a die maker. He used to curse the day Ford designed the retractable, though he did say that reworks on that tooling provided him with a lot of overtime.
