The more I drive my new F-150 the more I learn, I went to turn off my OD going down an off ramp to help in slowing down, found out the button doesn't turn off overdrive it puts the truck in Tow/Haul just like the SD's it also has a 6 speed tranny. Also found out my nav/SYNC system also plays DVD's as well as CD"s. It has more power than the same engine I had in the '08, it rides smoother and quieter.
Yeah,I sure hope so!
Love your HiBoy,hey what's your first name,so I know what to call ya.
Yes, sorry I meant to post my name last time I was reminded, but forgot. Its Alex. Thanks for the compliment. My truck is down for repairs at the moment but should be just around the corner to being running. The registration on my 75 is more than the cost of the 01 Expo. Get that. I have the 75 on non-op.
Just added a new pic of my quad I had down for repair. Here it is. I just put the gas in and kicked it over today for the first time in months, actually going on 2 years. Its 2 stroke so Im sure my neighbors missed my bike as much as I did. LOL
Ya, I read the thread and I've been there. When I first got my truck I paid almost 3k just in DMV and impound fees. The impound fees were about 600 and DMV with penalties was about 2300 or more. That was because the guy my dad gave the truck to never paid or changed the name on the title so it stayed in my dads name. So for 9 years it had been accumulating fees from DMV. One day he got a letter from Victorville PD that the truck was in the impound. The guy he gave it to passed and his family didnt want the truck so they put it in the street and PD impounded it. So dad knew that I wanted the truck after he gave it away while I was in the Navy and now I could have it back. I paid that much because it was my memory of our family when we were young and my parents would take us camping everywhere. Anyways its getting a 390 with fresh heads and intake. Just need to pull it and replace with the donor and good to go. Anyways thats my brief story about my ride. My dad bought it brand new from Board Ford in Whittier that unfortunatly has closed. I would love to have a pair of licence plate frames from Board Ford, the metal ones to make it somewhat original. I have been looking at the Pomona Swap Meet everytime I go but no luck yet.
I've been to the Pomona Swap meet, too many Chevys out there for me...
The Built 390 in my truck isn't the one that came in it from '76,it came from something with an automatic...so I know its not factory,as that thing lays down some rubber in 1st & 2nd.
