hey guys ive been trying to figure out for a while what this is that i have here. when i bought my new 66 cab for my truck it came with a mount to mount what i think is a turn switch. it mounts just under the bottom lip of the dash in the middle. i have the mount for the switch and i think i have the switch somewhere... i just dont remember taking it out. anyways the mount for the switch has four options "off" "on" "Emer" and "flasher" what is this thing? i already have a flasher switch in the dash. in one of the six holes
If its a flat plate painted black and has 2 holes...thats the mounting bracket for the heat and temp cables used on trucks with the deluxe heater option.
The 4 way flasher switch and light is below the cluster in the metal dash itself and both the switch and seperate light bezel are right next to each other.

It's not a turn signal switch because that's bolted to the upper flange in the steering column.
4 way emergency flashers were an option. Some trucks have the switch where cs65 said...under the instrument cluster bezel.
Another version mounted inside the glove box on a bracket.
What you are describing, IMO...is an aftermarket emergency flasher.
AFAIK, there is no factory switch like this mounted under the dash.
Why would there be two of these switches?
If the factory switch was defective, and a previous owner couldn't find a replacment switch, he/she went to a parts store and bought this aftermarket unit...bolted it under the dash.
