How much was the Custom tune, and what difference did you feel in the truck.

I will say this the week that i drove my truck, after getting the new Ficm and the new flash it was a snail, no power and I got 12 miles to the gallon. I put the superchip performance program back in and I am getting 15mg and its better then before I brought it to the dealer. I really feel that if you dont drive like a mad man then it will be okay, I would love a sct program but I have to work with what I have until everything else "the safety modificatins have been taken care of "egr, coolant filter, gauges.

Let me put it to you like this. I used to run the superchips at 100HP and lost mileage but liked the power. I bought a tune from them on a programmer that they guaranteed not to loose MPG and have power still. I went ahead and tried it and they were correct I picked my MPG back up to stock or a little better and have the power still if not a little better. Basicaly I told them all my specs of the truck and in 5 days I had my tuner. You must tell them what you are trying to do with the truck. If you want HP and are not worried about MPG then your truck will be a beast. But if you want MPG then your truck will not have the perforamce that it would have with no worrys of MPG. Trust me it will have power like the 100HP on superchips with great milage. I get 18 MPG on the highway doing 80 with a 4x4 long wheel base 4 door pickup. When I pull my trailer that is a little over 10,000 pounds I get 14-15mpg. Once again it just depends on how you drive the truck. I do not care how you drive with superchips because you will never get the mileage you want. I hope this helps you out! I looked to see what they charge and it is 200 for a reflash if you send your computer in or 285 for a chip or 350.00 for a tuner with 1 tune. I got the tuner from them about a year ago. Thanks and have a good night!

On the superchips, i have a buddy who has an '03 6.0L with superchips. His only mods are stock exhaust with straight pipe and no kitty, thats it and usually runs the performance mode and has not had any problems that i am aware of. Runs it pretty hard but doens't tow anything but his 78' 350 mud truck maybe once a month. Kind of a pointless saying due to that its not mine but may be a good '03 or just luck.

Don't forget to check out our new racing programmers for the 7.3L, 6.0L, and 6.4L Powerstroke diesel's that offers increased offroad power and has provisions for DPF and EGR delete options for the 6.4L.

An EGR delete feature for the 6.0 will be released late spring of this year and FICM tuning near the end of the year as well.

Check it out!

Scott
