I did the swap in my Bronco. I used the stock wiring and spliced the new connector into the OE harness. The gauge assembly comes with the new senders that are needed. You still retain the OE fuel sender and then calibrate the gauge pack to your sender. It was very easy to do. I still have to lay out a mile and calibrate the speedo. From passing radar boxes I am about 4 MPH off. They include a couple of momentary button's to get into the computer of the gauges to do all calibration.
The fit of the lens was absolutely perfect. I used some black sealer on the back side to set the lens in place. I also used a small air grinder to get rid of the material that was not needed. I'm thinking of doing this gauge pack in my 250 and the crewcab. It is a hell of alot more accurate and nicer looking than the original setup.
I'd sure like to put that in my 79-F250. The price just seems a little high but probably worth it. I always thought it came complete but from your pic's it looks like just the seperate guages fit into the original cluster housing?
i successfully installed that cluster in mine, its frickin awesome, the 'please' is 'please set...whatever' that flashes across the bottom until you have it all set up correctly.
the unit is housed in a brushed aluminum housing, very precise manufacture, worth every cent.
heck no, lol. try 600$somthin. considering theres a computer in there, 6 or so guages in there, a custom fit metal housing, sending units, wires, relay block. everything is labeled. and its made specifically for our trucks.

ouch! thats allot of $ for simple gauges.. are they at least all made in america? then it might be worth it.
