What is involved with getting a voltage reading, instead of an amp reading?
Dunno, you'd have to contact Dakota digital with that question.

Looks nice though ,didn't realize it requires cutting the bezel.

Yes, this was just after finishing up the Bronco. It sits for a long time so the battery tends to drain a bit. Normal charging is fine though once it has been out a while.

If you compare the price to what you would spend on aftermarket gauges it isn't that bad plus I can calibrate the speedo to accept the 35" tires.
Bucks77ford, Dakota Digital will put whatever miles you want on the cluster for $20 when you oreder them. Im looking into getting them also. I have been looking at them and the ones that are available through ezwiring.
I did the swap in my Bronco. I used the stock wiring and spliced the new connector into the OE harness. The gauge assembly comes with the new senders that are needed. You still retain the OE fuel sender and then calibrate the gauge pack to your sender. It was very easy to do. I still have to lay out a mile and calibrate the speedo. From passing radar boxes I am about 4 MPH off. They include a couple of momentary button's to get into the computer of the gauges to do all calibration.
The fit of the lens was absolutely perfect. I used some black sealer on the back side to set the lens in place. I also used a small air grinder to get rid of the material that was not needed. I'm thinking of doing this gauge pack in my 250 and the crewcab. It is a hell of alot more accurate and nicer looking than the original setup.

Looks great. I'm about to install this in my 79 Bronco. Where did you mount the control box?

Can't say on the components they use for sure, but they are located in Sioux Falls, SD, and put it together there. They pretty much can custom build a setup for any vehicle if you pay them enough. They aren't really a volume builder, so you will pay a bit more to have them build the units.
