2005 Excursion climate system issues

My 2005 EX has had its first real problem.
Seems like the climate system started having a mind of its own.
as soon as you turn the ignition key on,the blower fan is at full speed.
with the engine running i'm unable to turn the climate system off or turn down the fan speed.
has anyone had this problem with their EX?

your help will be appreciated.

Are you sure it's not on Auto?

Even if it's on Auto you should still be able to turn it down.

Is there anything displayed on the screen? Mine blanked out, but the fan was not on. I had to cycle the ignition to reset it.

Blower motor relay switch from your local ford dealer and tell them you have an excursion with climate control fixed mine !

i was thinking about the blower motor relay or power stage of some kind myself.
thanks for the help guys.
i will follow on your suggestions and let you know the results.
